Sarah Palin dazzles CNN poobahs

March 6, 2012

"If there's one particular issue that breaks the camel's back with respect to this election, that is the issue of Obamacare," says Oklahoma primary winner Rick Santorum this evening, addressing supporters in his neck-and-neck Ohio victory speech. "You lucked out," joshed Sarah Palin moments ago as she granted a spur-of-the-moment mini-interview to an ecstatic CNN reporter lurking on the fringes of the Wasilla polling place where Sarah and Todd were exercising their franchise this evening. Flashing only a metaphorical ankle in response to the reporter's question, the Mama Grizzly taunted:

"As I said, anything is possible and I don’t close any doors that would be open out there" …

Asked to list what she sees as the top campaign issues, Palin said it is a “combination of the economy and military needs”

"Things are up in the air. I don't know. Anybody but Obama."

The boys and girls back at CNN headquarters were giddy — pardon our wordplay — peeing in their pants at the thrill of it all …

  1. John C. Coolidge says:

The big story is she voted for Newt.
If that’s not an endorsement, nothing is.

  2. Ragspierre says:

    Sarah knows what’s right, and who’s wrong…!!!

  3. Ricky says:

Newt is da man! Reminds me, I have to get my $2.50 Newt gallon!
Too bad the anti-Christian bigots in Idaho wouldn’t give him and Santorum a chance.
The Mormon candidate took all the eastern counties (LDS territory)some with 90% of the vote. And of course, the Mormon candidate won the state with the 2nd largest Mormon population in the country.
Who is that guy that said there is no evidence that Mormons vote for Romney?

  4. Ragspierre says:

Who is the lying bigot who said that Mormons vote for Romney ONLY because he’s a Mormon?
Oh, yeah. He could not manage to keep his lying, bigoted self from standing up and calling attention to himself.
    Sorry POS.

  5. Ricky says:

Sorry the truth makes you so uncomfortable and unstable.
Many Mormons did vote for Romney because he is Mormon. Nevermind how many times your own bloated bigoted head explodes about that, it is the truth.
How do you explain states with huge Mormon populations all going for him?
Anyway, I knew the facts I posted would have your head exploded, my fellow bigot! You did not dissapoint.
    Now have a nice day!
    Newt/West 2012!

  6. Ragspierre says:

“Many Mormons did vote for Romney because he is Mormon.”
Please post your objective support for that statement.
(Ha! We all know you can’t, won’t, and that there is no such thing!)

  7. Ricky says:

Rags, you should stop pretending to speak for others. “We”? Not every person is as dishonest and biased as you, my bigot friend.
While we are at it, how ’bout answering my question?
For those who live in Realville: (Rags’ head is sure to explode about this one!)
This kind of thing also happens in the south, so I don’t understand the outrage when these facts are brought up about Mormons.
If it is not off limits to discuss these trends re: the South and blacks, it shouldn’t be off limits to discuss them re: any other group.
Now Rags: It seems your whole life revolves around this website and the little thing you have going here.
So happy name-calling, I have to go.

  8. dinglewoodnorwoodbill says:

It does not take a rocket scientist to see that in most areas with heavy Mormon pop the totals were like 90-10 % clip rate for Romney. Catholics, on the other hand, did not vote 90-10 for Santy seemingly anyplace. It is not proof but again, not hard to see a possible connection here.
In any case, it’s becoming clear the split up of votes between Santorum and Newt is only helping Romney. Either Newt must go or they join forces. A vote for Gingrich is a vote for Romney, surely.

  9. dinglewoodnorwoodbill says:
Calls for Newt to pull out and endorse Santorum growing, beyond Santorum’s camp and into big conservative names…

  10. Ragspierre says:

This is a more than just a little deceptive. Mormons turned out in much higher than average population % to vote for George Bush. Mormons tend to turn out & get involved in community. Those who live around Mormons tend to do more as well, kind of a cultural rub off.
The voting population in Idaho is under 10%, they tend to have lot of kids.
The map has a category leaping from .01 to 10%? hello? Many areas where it seems like there are a lot of Mormons on the map have less than .5% many others under 2% & under 5%.
Mormons don’t just turn out to vote for other Mormons. See how Harry Reid would do in highly Mormon areas. Not well at all because they tend to be conservative & tend to pay attention.
In the highly Mormon areas with Salt Lake Utah as a hub, Romney is very well known & in very good light from saving the Olympics & the fact of course that he is Mormon & you tend to remember those you can identify with better than others. Romney gets a great kick from non Mormon voters as well around the Salt Lake area because they also know him.
Check Massachusetts where Mormons are under .5 % Romney leads 3 others by 64% Romney is also doing very well in Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, places where they KNOW HIM. Romney has an excellent reputation & amazing track record. Ask anyone who’s worked with Romney, they love the guy, because he’s a very good guy & they trust him because he’s extremely honest and effective.
The article makes erroneous associations as if Mormons are monolithic thinkers, which they are not. I live in an area with about 15% Mormons. People who live around them know, those who don’t write articles using errant assumption that seems pervasive in our media which is growing more lazy, short cutting & obtuse by the year, it seems.
(From the comments of Ricky’s blog “authority”).
“Too bad the anti-Christian bigots in Idaho wouldn’t give him and Santorum a chance.”
If that isn’t a confession of a bigot, there is no such thing.

  11. Ragspierre says:

Santorum gets more like a flying rock with each passing day.
    Dropping faster by the minute.

  12. EBL says: Mitt Romney is saying you can’t blame the president for rising gasoline prices? OMG.

  13. dinglewoodnorwoodbill says:

Santorum is GAINING momentum and without carpet bombs spent 12-1 he wins BOTH OH and MI.
A vote for Newt at this point and even a week or so ago was a vote for Romney. At this point it’s just vanity. He has not proven any strength anyplace except his home state he obviously wins, and the attack on the media that gave him SC. That’s it.
He can help stop Romney only by dropping out and endorsing Santorum, the writing is now on the wall.

  14. Ragspierre says:

    Sante won Michigan…???
No. Somebody is getting too excited…

  15. gary gulrud says:

Between the Right and Left we won’t see 50% of the electorate turn out in November.
Gotta hope its a particularly bad week for Jugears if McBain is your game.
Better put MN and WI in the Blue column.

  16. Zelsdorf Ragshaft III says:

How can anyone vote for Santorum over Gingrich. Just compare their records in congress. What, exactly has Rich accomplished beside losing his seat by a landslide? Listen to their speeches. Santorum cannot enunciate a plan anything like what Gingrich can and does. It will be easy for Obama to trap Santorum into discussing social issues. Gingrich has proven he knows how to stay on message. Gingrich has not had to lie about his opponents. That is not something either Romney nor Santorum can say.

  17. Hope Change says:

Zelsdorf Ragshaft III — you have got it right. Newt is just getting started again. Watch these speeches. This is a whole new game. A whole NEW game.
Newt looks fabulous in his Alabama speeches today, MArch 7th
Newt Campaign Speech Pell City, Alabama March 7, 2012

We currently send $500 Billions overseas. AMERICAN ENERGY creates jobs, saves money. $2.50 or less gallon of gas, as the market fluctuates.

North Dakota had 25 times more oil that we thought. Not 25%. North Dakots has doubled our U.S. reserves.
Think about if one of the bigger states, like Alaska or California. In California, the Monterey Formation probably has 80 MILLION barrels.
In the next generation, the royalties for oil would be between $16 and $18 TRILLION. If we used DISCIPLINE, we could pay of the entire federal debt with royalties from oil and natural gas. We owe it to the young people. We should not be putting a mortgage on our children.

Obama’s ideological policies are exactly wrong for America. Keep us unemployed. Keep gas prices high.
We must defeat Obama for the future of the United States.

I need your help to win the primary and win the nomination. To win in the fall. and then for the next four years in order to govern.

And I am not running just to defeat Obama. We need to fix the judges, bureaucracies, the laws.
So we’ll organize the entire ticket as a team. House and Senate will stay in session after Januaray 3rd, and whne I get sworn in on January 20th, they will have repealed Obamacare. Also Dodd-Frank, which is killing small banks and business. And Sarbanes-Oxley which is crippling American business with red tape and nothing useful.
On that day, about 2 hours after inaugural, series of executive orders.
One: abolish all the White House czars as of that moment.

Also approves KEYSTONE PIPELINE. I keep telling the Canadians, DON’T CUT A DEAL WITH CHINA. GIVE US UNTIL JANUARY. Three, Our embassy to Jerusalem.

You cannot change Washington unless you understand how complicated our Constitution is.

I worked with Reagan in 1980′s we cut spending 1st time since WWII. 16 million new jobs. Campaign to end Soviet Union.

Then in 1994, largest increase in vote in American history. We ran only POSITIVE ADS because people wanted HOPE.
CUT SPENDING 2d time since WWII. I was there for both of those.

Largest tax cut, 11 million jobs 4 years. More people worked, paid taxes, this helped balance the budget. The first 4 BALANCED BUDGETS IN A ROW.

The other Republican candidates do not have the understanding to change this.

Romney played the game in Massachusetts. Teddy Kennedy came to the signing of Romneycare.
Santorum also played the game as Senator. Go along to get along.

When Reagan asked for a tax increase, I VOTED NO.

When H. W. Bush broke his word and asked to raise taxes, I VOTED NO.

I think Romney and Santorum would play the Washington game just fine.

$2,50 a gallon is leadership. You offer people a VISION OF DRAMATICALLY BETTER FUTURE. AND THAT IS WHY I AM RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.

And I need your help. Are you on Facebook? On your home page, put NEWT = $2.50 GAS. Are you on Twitter? hashtag #$2.50 gas

ALSO another great speech — about space, innovation, American ingenuity and the can-do spirit of America.

  18. dinglewoodnorwoodbill says:

It does not matter who is better. Santorum is the only shot due to logistics.
Newt has not shown he is doing anything across many states except RUIN this for Santorum (AND NOT VICE VERSA!) and hand it to Romney, and unthinkable option that is laughing all the way to the nomination.
Romney has to be stopped. It’s 10000% clear Santorum connects with voters better, and now Newt is about to cost AL for Santorum which Newt himself cannot win due to the new momo the perception of Mitt’s inevitability.
Newt’s negatives and personality are simply not going to win a national election.
We really are the stupid party.
There can only be one of them, and by his many wins, it’s Santorum, and Newt fans have to accept that, it’s too late for Gingrich to do anything but help Romney with their votes for the fantasy that Newt is going anyplace. He does not score over like 15% but that amount mostly goes to Santorum, and helps push HIM over the top against Romney.
Newt needs to get out now.

  19. Ragspierre says:

    Dry up, dingleberry.
You are very, very tiresome and insulting.

  20. Kaitian says:

Many Baptists voted for Huckabee because he is a Baptist. Duh
Many Baptist also voted for Santorum because he is a catholic. Oh wait wrong group.
Many Mormons voted for Romney because he is a Mormon. Duh
Many Mormons voted for Bush because he is a Baptist. Different religion, same party.
Ergo, many Republicans vote for the Republican candidate they best identify with.
Shut up with the religion card.
