Obama loves a Parade, at newstands Sunday: Talk about fact checking … Geez!

Wait a minute. This isn’t the Obama I recall taking office.

Parade: So how are you going to talk to Republicans differently if you are reelected?

Obama: I think that after this election, we’ll be in a position to once again reach out to Republicans ….

Parade: Are you saying there’ll be a difference in how you approach Republicans, or their attitude will be different if you get reelected?

Obama: My approach has been pretty consistent from the start; I’ve often proposed ways to solve our problems that used to be embraced by Republicans.

The top congressional leaders from both parties gathered at the White House for a working discussion over the shape and size of President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan. The meeting was designed to promote bipartisanship. Challenged by one Republican senator over the contents of the package, the new president, according to participants, replied: “I won.”

Oh, and Michelle Obama has some things in mind, too. Nothing special, … just telling you “how to structure a life.” Wow, it’s a wonder America survived so longbefore these two social engineers came along.

Michelle Obama: With Let’s Move!, our goal is to end the problem of childhood obesity in a generation. And while we’ve seen some very profound cultural shifts, we still have communities that don’t have access to affordable and healthy foods; we still need to find a way to impact the nature of food in grocery stores, in terms of sugar, fat, and salt; we need to keep educating families abouthow to structure a life that is healthy in a society where TV is rampant and communities don’t have enough resources in terms of sports and activities.
