Senator Jeff Sessions’ letter to NYT’s Editor on immigration

Regarding President Obama’s decision to unilaterally grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants, you summarized this policy as “a decision by the Department of Homeland Security, at President Obama’s instruction, to get its enforcement priorities right — focusing on removing criminals and others who threaten community safety” (“Long Lines and Big Dreams,” editorial, Aug. 18).

Alabama stae Senator Scott Beason does not want hispanic workers in his state, however he does not mind that Haitians and African natives are recruited to work the pultry industry in his state. I guess they can pass for American borned African Americans. He encourages racials profiling of hispanics while the poultry industry has spent over $5million in recruiting other inmigrants from non-hispanic background and looks because the American born minorities do not want to work inthose industries. As a hispanic who was borned a US citizen his legislation does not apply to me, but it will be a cold day in hell before I set foot in his state or contribute to his campaign. By the way, I am a professional who works harder than most european borned inmigrants who never get harrassed becuase of their fair skin and light colored eyes. It really looks like we are back int he early 1960′s. If it was not for hispanic inmigrants many tomatoes will rut in their crops, because no one else wants to work in agriculture or poultry industry. Think again, maybe some day you will have to depend on a hispanic physician, nurse, policeman to save your life. Then will it matter what skin color yopu have?
