Blogs now impacting the weather, who knew?
Time was a blog post had about as much chance of going from there to Forbes and now the Christian Science Monitor as a snowball’s chance on Hell, or maybe in the Arctic this year! Times have changed, as does the weather, evidently.
In the post, climate change skeptic and blogger Steven Goddard states that Antarctic sea ice reached its highest level ever recorded for the 256th day of the calendar year on Sept. 12. He reasons that the Southern Hemisphere must be balancing the warming of the Northern Hemisphere by becoming colder (and thus, net global warming is zero).
The National Snow & Ice Data Center (NSIDC), which tracks sea ice using satellite data, explains on its website why Antarctic ice has weathered global warming more robustly than Arctic ice. Goddard dismisses the explanation, concluding instead, “Antarctic and Arctic ice move opposite each other. NSIDC’s dissonance about this is astonishing.”
Despite its lack of scientific support, Goddard’s post has garnered attention around the Web. In a Forbes.com column about the record high Antarctic sea ice, skeptic James Taylor writes, “Please, nobody tell the mainstream media or they might have to retract some stories and admit they are misrepresenting scientific data.”

The southern pole ice is BALANCING the northern warming?!? LMAO! I can hear the lefties now..”change it from ‘global warming’ back to the non-descriptive ‘climate change’ before anyone notices”….
Seriously, climate science is a balance of BS, circle jerk chicken is tasty, observations done in an enclosed windowless room.
“Despite its lack of scientific support” ….
That disclaimer should be included before every wingnut statement about anything. Of course, the word, “science” could be substituted for any other descriptor of whatever the topic is.
Haha, Goddard. The same crank has been making the same debunked “argument” about the “cooling” Antarctic sea ice for how many years now?
Here’s an excellent discussion about why you and Goddard are fools:

You won’t read it.
Keep going, patriots, you are WINNING!!!

Wow, goes to show that AARP has effectively spent its members’ money to promote Obamacare. Funny thing, the polls (of seniors) do not reflect the reaction of this AARP audience. Go figure, eh? What could possibly be the difference……
The use of the term ‘science’ long ago became a misnomer in the climate ‘prediction’ arena. Because the ‘scientists’ have become more so politicians than real, skeptical and questioning practitioners, all they have left is to fight against bloggers. They refuse to debate other ‘scientists’.
Here is an example of REAL science:
