Some days, it’s just hard to take politics seriously.

Vice President Joe Biden extended an invitation to the media to check the veracity of his claims on Medicare, telling the press to “fact check me.”

The vice president was introduced by former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, whose convention speech Biden praised.

“He made it clear: Santa Claus is rooting for us to win,” Biden said Via ABC.

Not since Gary Hart told the press “Follow me around, I don’t care. I’m serious. If anybody wants to put a tail on me, go ahead. They’d be very, bored,” has any politician opened himself up as such a wide, fat target.
