Media Spinning Romney Quote: Obama will “say things that aren’t true”

The feckless media that helped Obama call Romney a felon without so much as a yelp are now trying to cast Romney as somehow bad for saying Obama doesn’t always tell the truth.

Most of us know that’s a fact. But make no mistake, they are using the word “lie” to hurt Romney, even though he didn’t use the word. There’s video of Romney with Stefi Stephanopoulos here. This is my third national election blogging and I can’t recall the media ever being quite this bad. I assume they didn’t need to be in 2008 given McCain’s weak campaign.

“The challenge that Ill have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that arent true. And in attacking his opponents,” Romney told ABC News. “Its difficult to say, Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that arent quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?”
