MMfA’s chickens come home to roost: They laid an egg when taking on Mark Levin
Take a look below at this Media Matters attack on Mark Levin from February, 2011. ‘”Mark Levin: Mubarak Will Look Like “Mother Teresa” After Egypt Turmoil”‘
They were defending Obama; Mark was pointing out the folly of Obama’s soft, to the point of being weak, foreign policy. Yes, I know, the worst of it was in Libya, not Egypt … for now.
Now look what’s actually going on in Egypt, thanks to the Muslim Brotherhood. The hijab is back in the newsroom. The newsroom spent days pushing the story of the film being used for cover in the recent attacks. By gaining control of the media apparatus, extremists laid the ground work for precisely what they wanted to happen on the anniversary of 9/11.
They are far from done in Egypt, count on it. Get used to it. Thanks to Obama’s leftist, or naive, if you prefer, worldview, we will be paying for his administration’s mis-steps for years. And MMfA has been there all along attempting to defend him against people like Mark Levin, or anyone else willing to tell the truth.
Two days ago via PolicyMic.
On Sunday, a female news anchor wore a headscarf for the first time on camera in Egyptian state television history. This comes after the country’s information minister Salah Abdel Maksoud announced that the informal ban on news presenters wearing the traditional hijab would be lifted in state-owned media outlets.
Today via the Marine Corp Times:
For several days, Egyptian media have been reporting on the video, playing some excerpts from it and blaming Sadek for it, with ultraconservative clerics going on air to denounce it.
You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows in Egypt, even if we are stuck with someone who could be a friend of one in the White House.

Oh, yah.
AND it is STILL early days in the Arab Autumn.
How many dead Egyptian Christians again…???
This will all end with crying
He just needs “more time”. It’s only been 4 years.
“Thanks to Obama’s leftist, or naive, if you prefer, worldview, we will be paying for his administration’s mis-steps for years.”
Just as we’re paying for Carter’s Middle East mis-steps.
So how’s that drone policy working out? And why does Egypt still have functioning TV stations? Maybe the administration is still trying to figure out to whom they are supposed to be bowing ?
And it’s only beginning. But Mr. Levin’s words did not fit the left’s template, so he must have been talking as a racist or religious bigot.
Of course, here in the U.S.A., far worse can be heard on a regular basis regarding Christianity, but hey, that’s Free Speech.
