NY Police Fatally Shoot Wrong Man at Bronx Bodega

There looks to be some discrepancy around the shooting. Some witnesses are claiming he was shot from a distance, not by the officer with whom he collided. Avoidable, or not, it’s still a tragedy.

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed by the police early on Friday as he fled from a group of robbers inside a bodega in the Bronx and collided with a police officer, the authorities said.

The man, who was identified by relatives as Reynaldo Cuevas, was a worker at the bodega, the police said.
