Obama’s Benghazi incompetence grows: Security “lax,” before “deliberate, organized” terror attack, FBI staying clear due to security concerns
It would appear the United States is no longer in the business of investigating terrorist attacks on American diplomats even when in our own consulate. That is utterly ridiculous. There’s already no way to conduct a solid investigation this long after the fact, as the FBI now claims it stayed clear deliberately – despite being in country for some time.
If there were a Republican in the White House, this would be a front page-worthy scandal day-after-day. Finally, the Obama administration admits what we all already knew.
The lethal attack on the U.S. Consulate in eastern Libya was “a deliberate and organized terrorist attack carried out by extremists” linked to Al Qaeda and did not stem from a spontaneous riot as first believed, a spokesman for the director of national intelligence said Friday.
Security has now been termed “lax.”
But as Stevens met with Benghazi civic leaders, U.S. officials appear to have underestimated the threat facing both the ambassador and other Americans. They had not reinforced the American mission to meet strict safety standards for government buildings overseas. Nor had they posted a U.S. Marine detachment, as at other missions in high-threat regions.
But it’s not being investigated because the FBI didn’t eat its Cheerios.
Also on Friday, US law-enforcement officials say that for security reasons FBI agents are staying away from Benghazi. The officials said the bureau was not going to put agents in harm’s way and that the city must be made secure before the FBI sends investigators there. The investigative team arrived in Libya last week to investigate the attack earlier this month.
Those aren’t the actions of a competent administration. It’s a clown show. That would explain why Bozo is finally here.
Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) is coming to the defense of U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice — rumored to be his top rival to replace Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a second Obama term.
They have time to protect one of their own in D.C., just not American diplomats working abroad. The murder of one of those by terrorists isn’t even worth taking a risk to investigate. How utterly incompetent and pathetic.
Just think what it would be like to have a functioning press, instead of the propaganda arm of the Collective.
You can almost make up the copy yourself…
That’s why only fools follow the media, and smart people stick to the internet.
The security concerns preventing an FBI investigation on the ground are quite convenient to the Obama administration’s hopes to slow-walk, stall or delay this investigation.
Nothing discovered in such investigation can help O’s reelection bid, and there is much that could hurt it.
Now, tell me if you assigned a company of Marines to the investigation team that we could not secure the consulate’s grounds and perform the necessary work in Benghazi more generally. I dare you.
Let’s cut through the “malarkey” as Biden calls it; the Obama camp has ONE objective, and one objective only: GET RE-ELECTED.
Once they achieve that, they’re INVINCIBLE since they can’t be touched, and it’s their final term; so it’s truly an “end that justifies the means.”
As Billary Clinton can tell you, there’s no way in hell to remove a sitting president who doesn’t want to go; that’s why it’s NEVER happened even ONCE in American history.
So Obama is going to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get re-elected; it doesn’t matter HOW guilty he is.
It REALLY IS that simple.
