Photo/Video: From Pups to Pandas, Zombies and Cows – Creative Dog Grooming

There’s a WSJ article and a video on this. The video below is a time-lapse video via YouTube. That’s only 2 minutes long but at least start, then advance to the end. The dog looks hilarious as Raggedy Andy. Immediately below, a Poodle groomed into a Panda and geisha.

From the WSJ:

For the most ambitious professionals, so-called creative grooming has also become a sport, with a dozen contests around the country each year. Contestants have dyed and clipped dogs to resemble lions, cows, lizards, dolphins and, in one case, a large garden snail.

The events are so intense that a few years ago they spawned a brief reality TV series—”Extreme Poodles.” And the entries have only gotten more elaborate: Instead of a turning a dog into a leopard, now a groomer will turn his coat into a jungle tableau, including vines, toucans and an iguana.

Here’s the time-lapse video.
