President Obama Falsely Claims Fast and Furious Program “Begun Under the Previous Administration”
And that’s via- ABC News, not the Weekly Standard. I think Obama is accustomed to getting away with just about anything. So, he doesn’t expect to be called on it when he lies.
Asked about the Fast and Furious program at the Univision forum on Thursday, President Obama falsely claimed that the program began under President George W. Bush.
“I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration,” the president said. “When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.”
Hey, we get it. President ‘Can’t Do It From Inside” has long since convinced us that his only obstacle is everyone, citizens and politicians alike, who came before him, and everyone who disagrees with him now. If only he could have the same cards dealt that every president before him had, with total agreement and a perfect economy, he would be the greatest, most magnificent, most successful, most adored person in that office. But, alas……

What he DID do was deny, lie, and collude with MediaMutters(to itself in a dark, dank basement) to project a false meme about this being an invention of “wingnuts” and crush anyone who sought the truth.
Oh, and commit contempt of Congress and cousin Obama into claiming “executive privilege”.
