Tough Talk, or just words? Obama warns Egypt: Are you ally or enemy?
I’m concerned that this administration’s naivete may have led to our embassies being more vulnerable than they had to be. What I’m also not sure of is, how seriously do some very evil people take Obama. Plus, does his worldview and politics allow him to actually do much of anything besides talk? That’s one side of it.
The other is not wanting to see his political opportunism get us into something we can’t, or, I should say, won’t finish.
“Certainly in this situation what we’re going to expect is that they are responsive to our insistence that our embassy is protected, our personnel is protected,” Obama said. “And if they take actions that indicate they’re not taking responsibilities, as all other countries do where we have embassies, I think that’s going to be a real big problem.”
