Video: CA Dem chair John Burton compares Paul Ryan, GOP to Goebbels for “telling the big lie”
Let’s hear it for the new tone - via the SanFran Chronicle blog. Team Obama is already denouncing it. Updated for clarity: The video is of some of his other gems. The “Goebbels” comments are reported as quotes but not in the video.
“They lie and they don’t care if people think they lie… Joseph Goebbels – it’s the big lie, you keep repeating it,” Burton said Monday before the Blake Hotel breakfast. He said Ryan told “a bold-faced lie and he doesn’t care that it was a lie. That was Goebbels, the big lie.”
Reminded that Brown drew heat for comparing the messaging of Meg Whitman’s 2010 GOP gubernatorial campaign to Goebbels, he said sarcastically, “(Bleep) that’s right, she won the election!
Burton shrugged at Brown getting in trouble. “He won it big. Goddam he was in trouble.”
Burton is incensed by the distortions uttered by Ryan, who he referred to as a “horse’s ass.” (Although, as you’ll see in the below video, the Chairman is a bit off on his facts, too. Then-Sen. Obama was a candidate when he made comments about a GM plant.)
There’s a difference between lying and embellishing, Burton said. “Everybody who has run for office has embellished – except for me of course,” said the longtime politician. But if you can’t trust someone on the basic facts, he said, how can you trust them to tell you the truth on Medicare?
Scratch the surface of a Democrat and you will *always* find a fascist who worships the power of the state to control, to coerce, and to kill.
As Republicans, we are not opposed to Democrat party scum like this because we think government is expensive (although that’s part of it.)
We think Democrat party scum like this are existential threats to liberty and freedom in America and that they must be stopped.
Every Democrat on record must now be asked, at capaign stops, at town halls, at debates, “Do you agree with Dan Burton that Rep. Ryan is a Nazi criminal?”
Any Jewish voter who pulls the lever for the Democrat party scum should be cursed from the souls of those who died in the camps.
well, Hannity , Beck and other swine compare Dems to Nazis all the time, Burton only said that Ryan and Co use Goebbels tactics. What’s wrong.
Next time I’advise him to use comparison to Mao lying propaganda or Stalin’s Pravda tactics.
At least anti-human repubs may not squeal that loud when exposed for pieces of bacterial filth that they are.
