Change: Homeless student population to crest 2,500 in Fairfax County for first time

Have to love the way Barry is taking care of the middle class. He’s making it so more and more of them slip into poverty. But he has government programs for that – not that they work.

The number of homeless students in Fairfax County public schools is likely to surpass 2,500 by the end of this school year, according to school officials, what would be a new record for one of the most affluent communities in the nation.

Experts say the increase in homelessness among students, from kindergarten to high school, is related to the lingering effects of the recession. This year’s total will be nearly 10 times the number of homeless students counted in county schools just 15 years ago.

  1. Mary says:

Obama’s committing economic genocide against US citizens, displacing them from their jobs, their homes. He increased worker visas to 160,000 a month, from 65,000 per year. Obama gave out more than half a million student visas out last year alone. He won’t enforce immigration laws, and subsidizes outsourcing of US jobs. This is about robbing the US & it’s people of economic independence, & forcing them to choose, slavery or starvation

The median household income in Fairfax county is $103,000 per year.

This area has been largely untouched by the Obama “recovery.”

Indeed, it has prospered like all other areas in Northern Virginia during Obama’s spendathon.

I consider this finding a mystery.
