Finally: Obama leads from front, denounces film before Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri does, who also urges Muslims to wage holy war on U.S., Israel

Who says Barack Obama always leads from behind? He threw the First Amendment under the bus and denounced this silly Internet YouTube clip before Al Qaeda number one Ayman al-Zawahiri did. Item below via Israel News | Haaretz Daily Newspaper.

The only thing Obama left out was the usual holy war on America caveat. I always knew if we gave Obama enough time, he’d eventually step up. Too bad he hasn’t done that on the actual terrorist attack, yet. Perhaps when he’s done doing the Daily Show on Oct. 18th, we’ll finally hear something from him in a press conference format.

In the recording, posted on Islamist websites on Friday, he called on “free and distinguished zealots for Islam” who attacked the consulate and protested outside other American embassies to “continue their opposition to American crusader Zionist aggression against Islam and Muslims”.

The recording appeared on the Mujahedin al-Ansar website which carries statements from al-Qaida leaders.

Zawahiri said U.S. authorities “permitted the film in the name of personal freedom and freedom of expression” but failed to practice those values in its treatment of Muslims imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan.

U.S. President Barack Obama’s administration condemned the short film, made privately and amateurishly in California, as reprehensible but said it could not be banned without violating the U.S. constitutional right to free speech.
