Home Alone, Oklahoma’s Kendra St Clair, 12 Introduces Burglar To Her Little Gun: Blam!
Shame about the wall, though – which it went through after going through an inside door and the burglar.
Cute kid, too.
But when she emerged from her hiding space and went to the back door, she saw the intruder was still trying to break in and ran back into the closet.
Explaining what happened, Kendra told KX11.com: ‘He opened the screen door and started pounding on the door. So I didn’t answer it. And I called my mom. She said to go get the gun and hide in the closet.
‘When I came out after I thought he was gone, he was standing there trying to open the back door. So I got really scared and I called 911.
‘When I was back there (in the closet) on the phone with 911, I heard the bathroom light turn on that was leading to the closet. And when I saw the door handle turn, I shot him.
‘I guess it went through the door, went through him, and went through the wall.’
The 12-year-old thanks her mom for teaching her how to keep her calm and protect herself.

Good for her!!!
I’d be interested to know the caliber, if that’s been released, because if it went through a door, flattening out and losing some energy, through the bad guy, losing even more energy then through a wall, I’d be willing to bet it wasn’t a small caliber!
My 13 year old (Bbirthdays tomorrow) has her own Sigma 9, made by Smith and Wesson and Daddy Dearest loves her enough to have taught to how to properly use it!
I’m glad eeverything turned out “ok” for this little sweetie and that she’s not too troubled with having taken a human life…it was difficult for me the 1st time when I did it as a man in the army, I can’t imagine what this child must be going through!
It was a .40 caliber Glock, and she didn’t kill him.
Nice work, honey
In this day and age THIS is what we should be teaching our young. Very excellent, young lady.
It sounds like this mom left her young girl alone at night while she was working. And I’ll be there were probably few or no lights on indicating there was no one was home. Rather than forcing your kids having to defend themselves with guns (which can be traumatic for a youngster), why not use some common sense and have someone stay with your child or at least make your home more safe with lights on and an alarm.
I agree. The mom really should have dipped into her trust fund and taken care of all that.
Ummmm, this was in the afternoon and not at night. You obviously didn’t read the story correctly.
Great job for Kendra. Wounding him is just fine. If she killed the intruder, I’m perfectly fine with that too. Personally, the latter would have been better. The only concern I would have with her killing him is only how she would have handled killing another person. Even in self-defense, some folks have a very difficult with it though her hands would be completely clean in killing the bastard. Great job again and I hope she and her family are able to move on.
