Mother Jones thinks these videos hurt Paul Ryan Ha Ha Ha
Via Newser. I think they actually make Ryan’s case pretty effectively.
Watch them both below. See what you think.
Mother Jones has dug up two more politically charged videos—these of Paul Ryan describing a rather Ayn Randian economic vision for America. In one, he told American Business Magazine last year that the US should make its tax rates competitively low: “Let’s make this country a tax shelter for other countries instead of having other countries be a tax shelter for America.” The year before, he had called the Cayman Islands—a notorious tax shelter—”the place you hide your money.”
Video number 2:

It’s hard for me to conceive of the mental state it would require to hear these words and have a negative reaction to them… unless you’re Obama and his choom gang.
To paraphrase Jack Nicholson in “As Good As It Gets”, think of a human being and then take away all reason and accountability.
That was my first thought. How can anyone recoil in horror at the thought of a society of productive, wealthy people?
Oooooo! Scary stuff!!! Let’s keep the money in the USA! OOOOOOO….. mean, mean, meanies…
I would be amenable to an amendment requiring the US tax rates to be in the lowest 5 in the world.
If poverty is good enough for the Greeks, it should be good enough for us.
Marxism is death. Liberal Democracy and Capitalism are life.
Any website that uses infolinks is not one I will intentionally visit twice. There is nothing I detest more than ads bombarding me when I’m trying to read text on a page.
Response to your OT comment (also OT, but what the heck) *yawn* Use a modern browser that blocks things you don’t want instead of whining about being bombarded with ads, etc.
Ditto the other commenter. I don’t see them … until the check from info links comes in each month. ; ) So, unless you want to underwrite this site with donations, see ya.

Today’s Washington Post chose to publish two letters about Romney.
One of the letters claims Romney was “cheating people out of jobs” when he decided to construct a walkway at his home on his own, with the help of his sons.
So self-reliance and initiative is now considered “cheating people out of jobs” by leftists in Washington – and by the editors of the Washington Post.
HOw exactly is it “cheating?” Apparently because your money does not belong, you know, to you. You didn’t earn that, so it’s not yours. It belongs to others who think they deserve it because they want to have it. Does this make any sense to rational people? I think not.
I think the WAPO – like Mother Jones – show themselves to be abysmally ignorant of economics and of what makes an economy tick.
And for those who haven’t noticed, our economy has failed to begin ticking under the Obama regime.
Agreed. Leftists can’t see the family building aspect of this endeavour. Hate blinds.
Oh, no! I’d better not let [Dhimmicrappic, leftist, unionist] electricians, plumbers, roofers, cabinet makers and painters know about all the work I do on my own home! Why, just think of all the people I’m NOT paying to do work I’m perfectly capable of doing myself! *shudder* What an horrible person I am!
*sheesh!* When did America become a nation of “Can’t Do” people who are REQUIRED to pay professionals to do things FOR them?
(Oops! Did some maintenance work on my main electrical service panel and wired a new outdoor circuit today as well. Fortunately, I live in an area where competent adults are allowed to do such things without nanny “bureaucraps” harassing them. *PPTHHPTHPFFTHPPPT!!*
)
“cheating people out of a job” is a union argument. Remember the union man in Ohio who filed a complaint against the Boy Scouts for cleaning a park because they weren’t union? Caretakers taking care of their own relatives are berated by the union for “taking jobs away from others”. That is their mentality.
Democrat Math:
30% – 70% = 100%
Republicans use math, Democrats only arithmetic.
I used to argue with a troll from Mother Jones (a self-important twit calling himself “louisknyc”, who thought that having a page on iCNN made him a “journalist”) on The Daily about this sort of “Hot! Button! Issue!!!”; after I’d gotten all of the conservatives, and half the liberals, laughing at him, ol’ Looie The Clown sulked away.
Laughter IS the best cure for Librulizm.…
When did Mother Jones become mainstream enough for people to care what they say?
I took one look at it years ago and dismissed it as kook leftist trash.
Romney will repudiate these comments soon: “Paul Ryan was 100% wrong.”
Tis because Mother Jones is made up of women’s and ethnic studies majors. Probably not one economics class among the staff.
