Reuters: Romney closing gap in Ohio as poll numbers, crowds rise

I’ll take it.

Despite pundits and pollsters dismissing Romney’s chances in the state in late September, the Republican is now either tied or just barely trailing Obama in Ohio ahead of the next presidential debate on Tuesday night.

At an event with thousands of Ohioans on Friday night, Romney boasted of “a growing crescendo of enthusiasm.” He has spoken to several large audiences in Ohio this week.

… Before the debate, polls showed Obama leading in Ohio by as much as 8 percentage points. From October 4 to October 10, the RealClearPolitics.com average of polls showed Obama’s lead at 1.3 points. More via Reuters.

A not insignificant number of Republicans who failed to support John McCain, for whatever reason, be it disgust with the GW tenure, be it disgust with the “maverick, but whatever the reason for their failure to support the GOP ticket in ’08, are going to show up big time in a few weeks.

So the Ohio model of ’08 is not going to repeat itself.

    Likewise Florida.

    Likewise Virginia.

You guys aren’t slow on the uptake and you get the drift.

There is going to be a massive turnout for our ticket.

And the only response from President Man Country and his party is going to be fraud, and churning out the pathological support the Democrats reliably enjoy from urban America.

But urban pathology is not going to be enough to deliver victory for our first down low President.

  2. Once it started to become socially acceptable to say you’re not voting for Dear Leader the whole chemistry changed… you can feel it

A lot of less-opinionated sorts than us were afraid of being called racist, and were affected by Obama’s relentless attack ads.

    But that’s all over now~

Romney’s been drawing enthusiastic crowds since he clinched the nomination and large, enthusiastic crowds since he picked Paul Ryan. The MSM just hasn’t reported on it very much.
