Sarah Palin: Martha Raddatz let Joe Biden run wild

No one deserves to have an image of Joe Biden running wild in their head alone – so share my pain. Frankly, I’m already over the VP debate, though that won’t stop people from talking about it today. I don’t see it impacting much of anything fwiw. So, I’m mostly moving on. I’ve said it was my impression Raddatz was much harder on Ryan, than Biden. I still think that.

“Really tough format, Sean, for someone like a Paul Ryan or anybody else up against Joe Biden, when the moderator allowed one candidate to absolutely run roughshod over the conversation, over the opponent,” Palin told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity on Thursday night. “That’s a tough format. It reminded me…of watching a musk ox run across the tundra with somebody underfoot. In this case, when it came to style, Paul Ryan was underfoot because of the moderator allowing Biden to do interrupting, to kind of take control of the conversation.”

Yeah, agree. Each side came away with something we wanted. Most importantly, we did not lose momentum. Moderator was letting her bias show all night…pressing Ryan, never Biden and at one point she AND Biden were piling on Ryan- both talking and countering him on an issue…working together. Yet Ryan still walked away having done well. Remarkable.

By the RNC’s count, Biden interrupted Ryan 82 times. In addition to that, Raddatz interrupted Ryan 34 times.

While I think that Ryan missed a lot of opportunities to hit really hard on some subjects, he did pretty well considering the 116 interruptions. Actually, it was pretty amazing that he was able to maintain his train of thought while also keeping his composure.
