The media lost the debate but there’s a bright side to that
Joseph Curl rightfully skewers Crowley via CURL: – Washington Times. Yes, it was once again infuriating to watch our establishment media so mis-perform. But there is one great plus for the Right.
To the extent Obama may have had a prayer of making up any ground because he at least showed up, with the media again so much a part of the post-debate story, there’s not enough room for Obama to capitalize on it if he could.
The media that elected Obama in 2008 is stepping all over him in 2012. With momentum currently in Romney’s favor, as bad as it was, it at least works to our tactical advantage in this instance.
Another debate, another debacle for America’s media.
In the runup to the second presidential debate, CNN’s Candy Crowley declared that she would not just be a “fly on the wall” as she played the tiny role of moderator, that she would step in whenever she chose to say, “Hey, wait a second, what about X, Y, Z?”
And boy did she, cutting off Republican Mitt Romney repeatedly and often throwing the floor to President Obama with an open “let me give the president a chance here.”
