Erickson and His Redstate Boys Never Learn, Titter at Faux Palin Ta-Ta’s

July 2, 2013

I swear, RedState should do a fund raiser to get Erick Erickson a penile implant in hopes that he’ll one day get over his fear and loathing of strong women. Were he a serious editor he never would have allowed the post in question to go up, let alone have defended it. And it isn’t just the photoshop that’s the problem, although the moron evidently can’t even spot one of those. Ohh, the RedState bois have t*tties on the front page. How axcitin’!

Side-by-side Does this idiot ever get anything right? Last week, fresh off being humiliated by Megyn Kelly on Fox, – he was humiliated by Paul Krugman of all people.

Duh! But then what should one expect from an alleged editor who  doesn’t even know the difference between ‘complimentary’ and ‘complementary’.  h/t Conservatives4Palin for this:

The main problem with the piece however, is the choice of the image Redstate uses as the top featured post on the front pages, by the way to go along with the article.

Not only is it a photoshop, it should never have amounted to a post in the first place at an allegedly serious conservative site, as all Palin did was acknowledge a Tweeted question and admonish the GOP as every serious conservative is also doing these days.  Someone must have pulled RedState’s chain and told them to earn their GOP keep by tamping down any third party talk – despite it not really even being there – yet. One can expect that from establishment rags trolling for attention. RedState should know better and would if it had any adult supervision.

On his radio program Monday, Mark Levin said Gov. Palin was “absolutely correct” when she said that the Republican Party fails to honor the planks of its own platform, conservatives may leave the GOP tobecome independents or possibly join a third party:

Here’s what actually took place. This is hardly a call for a third party by Palin. Heck, I’m an Independent now and have been for decades. I often support GOP candidates but being a Republican has never been the same as being a Conservative.  As a former Governor and GOP VP nominee, Palin doesn’t deserve to be attacked by RedState of all sites for pointing it out – let alone with a photoshop highlighting a woman’s cleavage – unless RedState is simply a part of the corrupt Beltway establishment that fears Palin and other conservatives, while also being run by adolescents.  Now there’s a thought!

“I love the name of that party — the ‘Freedom Party,’” Palin said. “And if the GOP continues to back away from the planks in our platform, from the principles that built this party of Lincoln and Reagan, then yeah, more and more of us are going to start saying, ‘You know, what’s wrong with being independent,’ kind of with that libertarian streak that much of us have. In other words, we want government to back off and not infringe upon our rights. I think there will be a lot of us who start saying ‘GOP, if you abandon us, we have nowhere else to go except to become more independent and not enlisted in a one or the other private majority parties that rule in our nation, either a Democrat or a Republican.’ Remember these are private parties, and you know, no one forces us to be enlisted in either party.”

Yep. Nor contribute one red cent.

  3. Ragspierre says:

Rush essentially said the same thing, but that is hardly his most insightful moment.

We are all thinking that if the GOP caves on amnesty (which has NEVER worked in the history of the world), the GOP is done.

It won’t be a matter of a “third party” (we have several of those already). It will be a matter of a new major party.

  5. section9 says:

Well that’s the rub, isn’t it. Even Palin’s buddies, the Koch Brothers, support this Amnesty Monstrosity, so Palin is doing this out of principle. When sites one is supposed to respect, like RedState, go belly up and get the long knives out on people who are trying to defend the working class and their wages in this country, perhaps its time to question the long term viability of RedState.

I can’t believe that people who we thought were Movement like Ben Howe are defending this crap. At some point, when one gets to Washington, the money just becomes too good.

Kudos to you, Dan, for calling out these Establishment tools.

    • Gary P Jackson says:

Only have one problem with your comment, what EXACTLY makes you think Palin is buddies with the Koch brothers? You understand those guys are libertarians, not Conservatives, right? Also, while Palin has a huge libertarian streak in her, she’s all about common sense, something many libertarians lack [no offense to the ones that don’t]

Palin truly is a grass roots American who by the sheer force of her own nature, has become a national leader.

      • section9 says:

It’s not a slam at Palin. She’s worked with AFP before. It’s just that she’s gone one way on immigration, and Charles and Edward have gone another. She’s attended some Koch confabs and they’ve been sympathetic to her cause.

They’re for the Amnesty Bill, that much is undeniable. She’s not.

  6. BC says:

One: I can’t stand the little fat red headed Erickson. His blocking of “birther talk” on his site proved that he thinks he is too intellectual to mix with common conservatives. Him and his site are just establishment gop plants, put there to manipulate the darn bitter clinging base…

Two: We have Palin to thank for the immigration bill – She endorsed both McCain and Rubio. Only now is she “going rogue.”

Three: Let’s see if she warms up that bus again for her Paris Hilton Palin bus tour in 2016. The one that cocked blocked Teaparty candidates from running in the primaries, and sucked contributions out of the primary process – GIVING US MITT ROMNEY…

Finally it is time for a third party – I just don’t trust Palin to be a part of it.

Maybe Michele Bachmann – you won’t find her endorsing the like of McCain when there is a strong Teaparty alternative.

    Like Palin did…

Really? Which specific would-be candidates did Palin keep from running?

    • Ragspierre says:

She endorsed both McCain and Rubio. Only now is she “going rogue.”

Yeah, you are full of crap.

BOTH those people were 180 degrees different in their positions at the time.

Now, you might fault her crystal ball or time-machine, but I can’t.

      • BC says:

Before you call me full of crap, it would be nice if you could fart in the direction of knowing what you are talking about.

Hell McCain wrote the amnesty bill of 2005. 180 degrees’ ass!!

Palin knew his RINO record on illegals long before she gave him her endorsement.

An enforcement in a very close race, that probably cost Hayworth the Senate seat.

And and endorsement that sealed the deal in the Senate bill that was just passed…

        • Ragspierre says:

Sure. I’ll fart in your direction any time you demand it.

          Happy to oblige.

          • BC says:

Seriously? You are using a McCain ad to prove that changed stances?

It is RINO talk from McCain but Palin knew his record, and endorsed him despite it.

Why don’t you use an Obama ad to prove he is pro Israel?

Nope she knew what he was and said to to hell with the Teaparty.

Here is a questing: Who did Palin “endorse” in the republican primaries?

          • Ragspierre says:

See, you are faulting Palin for a defective crystal ball.

        • Gary P Jackson says:

Hey idiot, you really expected Palin NOT to endorse McCain? You hate filled idiots would have ripped her for that!

Oh, and THANK GOD J D Hayworth lost. If he’d won the nomination there would be a DEMOCRAT in that seat right now!

My God! Hayworth was a crook and a liar. A despicable little man.

Your problem is you just hate Palin, and probably all women. get over it moron, Palin is the best thing to happen to America since Ronald Reagan.

    • Gary P Jackson says:

Hey idiot, Marco Rubio ran as an ANTI-Amnesty hard core Conservative. SADLY Charlie Christ was so repugnant, no one took time to look at Rubio’s actual record. Bottom line, Rubio LIED to get elected. Period.

Palin has been standing against Amnesty since day one When Obama and the entire left wing of America was attacking Jan Brewer after Arizona passed a bill to take on illegals everyone of the so-called “conservative heroes” went into hiding. What did Sarah Palin do? She got on a goddamned airplane and flew to Arizona, stood with Brewer, and even cut an ad for her. Then took in an Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game to MAKE SURE she was seen with Brewer and in full support of her.

And “Paris Hilton Bus Tour” really? Seems to me she got people talking about America’s greatness! You’re just full of hate, must be a democrat or a Red Stater [not that there is much difference]

And if you think Michelle Bachmann is the answer, then you are asking some incredibly stupid questions! Bachmann is leaving Congress to get out of being investigated for serious ethics violations. She’s already been fined by the FEC for major campaign law violations.

Bachmann is a con artist who tried to use the Tea party for her own purposes and failed. She’s a back stabbing loser who isn’t fit to shine Palin’s shoes.

Take your hate over to Red State and hang out with the other mouth breathers!

  7. Ragspierre says:

I look forward to watching Clownspierre cope with the cognitive dissonance:
Former President George W. Bush defended a National Security Agency surveillance program on Sunday, calling the collection of Internet data a necessary tool for homeland security.

“I put that program in place to protect the country,” Bush said in an interview with CNN. “One of the certainties was that civil liberties were guaranteed.”

Bush, who is in Zambia on a two-country trip to Africa, told CNN that he believes the Obama administration “will deal” with the consequences of former defense contractor Edward Snowden’s leaks, refusing to criticize President Obama over allegations of government intrusion into citizens’ privacy.

“I think there needs to be a balance, and as the President explained, there is a proper balance,” he said.

    Battle of ideas, huh…

“Illinois Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn triggered a backlash from his own party as well as the NRA on Tuesday after he unilaterally changed legislation meant to allow the carrying of concealed weapons.

In a challenge to gun-rights supporters, Quinn moved to cap the number of firearms and rounds that can be carried by Illinois residents and ban guns from any place that serves alcohol.

The move was a nod to the governor’s gun-control base as the state faces a court-ordered July 9 deadline to allow concealed-carry.

But, by using what is known as his “amendatory veto power,” Quinn could imperil the carefully crafted deal, which now heads back to the legislature.

Some lawmakers have already vowed to reject Quinn’s new provisions.

Sen. Bill Haine, a Democrat, says he hopes lawmakers will override the veto. Assistant Majority Leader John Sullivan said Quinn “ignored the will of the people.”

Hmmmm…. I thought gun control was in great big demand, or something…

But this governor puke seems like a good Collectivist. Imposing your will over the democratic process is an article of faith, after all.

Was never a big Rubio fan.. sent a couple small donations, mainly to block Crist. The Jeb connection always seemed obvious, like a loose thread that would eventually come undone. Rubio’s TP creds were apparently based on decent speaking skills and a solid family story.

Rubio at one point made a lukewarm statement on a bus saying he’d be happy to accept a Palin endorsement. In turn, she gave him a polite pat on the head, sort of offering up support if the Rubio campaign needed it. That solidified my thoughts that Jeb was probably part of the Rubio package.

Also, Sarah was stuck endorsing McCain. Rock and hard place. Didn’t stop me from sending a few $ to JD. Polls mostly had him losing, though – except for a brief period where his chances looked like a possible long shot.

Happy to be corrected on any of this, just wanted to weigh in. I remember a couple news clips (FNC)- Rubio, then Palin- ‘considering’ an endorsement of sorts. But it always seemed like Jeb & Co were embedded in this thing. Unfortunately, now we know for sure.
