If Ryan Loskarn Were A Straight Republican Caught With Kiddie Porn, It Would Be A Much Bigger Story

Update: Jan 24th – Loskarn has been foudn dead in an apparent suicide.

Below via the Daily Caller. Also via DC, more here: Ryan Loskarn’s online handle reveals darker warning signs, pre-teen wrestling, other X-rated raunch For a couple of reasons, I think this story would be seeing much more coverage – and sensationalist, at that – outside the Beltway if Loskarn were straight.

Sen. Lamar Alexander‘s R-Tenn. now ex-Chief of staff Ryan Loskarn led a pretty typical life for a 35-year-old gay GOP aide in Washington. He attended happy hours. For a good while he had a boyfriend. Sources tell The Mirror he was even going to be in the wedding party of NRSC Spokesman Brad Dayspring who did not offer a comment as to whether Loskarn would still be part of the wedding party. Dayspring is engaged to Jake Tapper‘s CNN publicist Lauren Pratapas.

That Loskarn was a prominent Republican staffer and apparently all but openly gay flies in the face of the media narrative that depicts the GOP as homophobic and intolerant. Furthermore, that he was a gay male who evidently enjoyed kiddie porn really has the media stymied. That narrative feeds into the worst stereotypes – and fears – involving homosexuality at a time when gay marriage is item one on the Left’s and the media’s agenda.

If Ryan Loskarn were a prominent Hill Republican tied so closely to many other prominent Republicans, including a Senator, and he were a straight male caught with child pornography, this would be making much bigger news outside the Beltway than seems to be the case.

As if being a gay republican isn’t disturbing enough…

I was wondering why Debbie blabbermouth and company weren’t jumping on this more. Now I know why. He’s a gaybo. Who’s loves kiddie porn.

“But, yah, you put ALLLLL your money on a poll that is almost a year to the day out, before the election.”

Oh, the comedy that is your lack of self-awareness ….

There’s a LOT of creepy pathology concentrated in D.C.

What are you babbling about today, Grandpa?

        Follow the link, moron.

Oh…never mind. You are incapable of understanding.

        Obviously.

Forget it, Arnold; it’s the Clownselor. You’re responsible for reading his mind to figure out the basis for whatever psychobabble he’s trying to convey.

        • Ragspierre says:

This from the cult-of-personality bung-sucker who PRETENDS it is not creepy, and that his idol is not a poor, broken child.

But, hey, he lies constantly. Especially to himself.

  5. Ragspierre says:

Political junkies might be interested to learn that conservative women are particularly blissful: about 40 percent say they are very happy. That makes them slightly happier than conservative men and significantly happier than liberal women. The unhappiest of all are liberal men; only about a fifth consider themselves very happy.

And Collectivist trolls are just miserable.

In every possible sense of the term.

    Heh!

  6. Ragspierre says:

ObamaCare’s fourth lie, or at least one of its many excuses, is that people faced bankruptcy because of their medical bills. But ObamaCare fixes that, because now they’ll face bankruptcy because of their health insurance.
    —Steven Green

Actually, of course people will still be resorting to bankruptcy under ObamaDoggle. And there is nothing immoral, illegal, or fattening about it. It is a rational process for dealing with too much debt.

Bankruptcies for medical reasons still happen in Canada.

And they, like abortions for rape, are vanishingly RARE.

  7. Jesse says:

This can’t be. I’ve been told (screamed at) by very learned Tealiban members that for-profit EVERYTHING is, in all cases(except for when they arbitrarily declare otherwise), the pinnacle of totally heterosexual, simpler-times, Real American virtue.

    I am deeply…but hilariously…conflicted about this…!!!

  9. Ragspierre says:

With the deadline to receive health insurance by January 1 just a week away, White House press secretary Jay Carney said President Obama has yet to sign up.

“I have no updates on that,” Carney told reporters during Monday’s briefing.

According to Carney, the president will purchase a plan on the exchange by March 31, but he did not specify which one. He declined to offer further information on the president’s plans to enroll, including whether the press will be allowed to see him go through the process.

    That headline is slightly misleading.

ObamaDoggle has been disrupting ALLLLL sizes of business since it was “passed”.

  14. Ragspierre says:

“We are the Obama people,” said Camille Sweeney, a New York writer and member of the Authors Guild. Her insurance is being canceled, and she is dismayed that neither her pediatrician nor her general practitioner appears to be on the exchange plans. What to do has become a hot topic on Facebook and at dinner parties frequented by her fellow writers and artists.

“I’m for it,” she said. “But what is the reality of it?”

At the Corner, Yuval Levin makes a great observation about that classic facepalm-inducing last paragraph: “Answer first, question second. This would be funny if it weren’t so sad and serious.”

Typically, the Collective stands reality on its head.

    Orwell knew this, of course.
