Mark Levin to Receive ‘Andrew Breitbart Defender of the 1st Amendment Award’ at CPAC

By
February 25, 2014

Well deserved.

“Mark Levin fearlessly and passionately stands up for conservatives and everyday Americans whose voices the mainstream press often tries to marginalize or silence,” Solov said. “And like Andrew Breitbart, Levin has a way of cutting through the mainstream press’s filter with his words and is never afraid to have arrows slung at him by the institutional left on the front lines of the fight.”

It will mark Levin’s only appearance at this year’s conference. The ceremony will take place in the CPAC Theater in the Chesapeake conference rooms that Citizens United will sponsor.

Well deserved indeed. Should be better than that ‘damning’ Obama college video.

    Lol.

    • Ragspierre says:

Who needs a video when you’ve been living the last five years of the Obamic Decline.

Plus, any moron who could read…and bothered to read “Obama’s” books would know he was a Collectivist and hater of America.

      • William Tell says:

The S&P 500 is up 229% since Obama took office. It’s a decline for teabaggers like you that listen to Glen Beck and buy gold.

        Mission Accomplished!

        • Ragspierre says:

How many times will you require being schooled on this.

The stock market is bubbling. Like all artificially inflated economic distortions, it will burst.

          Moron.

          • William Tell says:

            Bubbling since 2009, grandpa!

Buy more gold and survival seeds from Glen Beck. Hahaha!

          • Ragspierre says:

            I don’t own either, moron.

Since Gov. Jerry Brown assumed office in January 2011, a record number of inmates with life sentences are winning parole. Brown has allowed the release of nearly 1,400 lifers, while going along with the parole board about 82 percent of the time. . . .
More than 80 percent of lifers are in prison for murder, while the remaining are mostly rapists and kidnappers.

  9. Ragspierre says:

”There’s plenty of horror stories being told [about Obamacare],” Reid said on the floor of the Senate today. “All of them are untrue.”

He addressed a couple stories of people left in a lurch by the law that have been featured in advertisements run by Americans for Prosperity, the veracity of which he and others have questioned. The only place you can hear about bad things happening due to Obamacare, Reid argued, is in ads paid for by Charles and David Koch.

“These two brothers are trying to buy America,” Reid said of the two fraternal “oil magnates” (Koch Industries isn’t an oil company).

As Alec pointed out on NRO earlier this week, this isn’t quite accurate: Notorious purveyors of conservative tall tales such as the New York Times and the Washington Post have been cataloguing some pretty desperate situations the ACA has put Americans into.

  11. Ragspierre says:

Why Doesn’t Harry Reid Have to Be the Least Bit Likeable?

Have you noticed that certain Democrats can be extremely unlikable, with no discernable consequence to their public power or prestige?

    Remember this oft-analyzed statistic?

The exit pollsters asked which was the most important candidate quality – vision for the future (29%), shares my values (27%), cares about people like me (21%), and strong leader (18%).

Mitt Romney won three of the four qualities. Voters who selected vision opted for Romney 54%-45%. Those who picked values preferred Romney 55%-42%. Voters focused on strong leadership opted for Romney 61%-38%. Romney lost 18%-81% among voters who said “cares about people like me” to Barack Obama.

Obviously, “cares about people like me” is an important element of success in American politics… unless you’re the ornery, mean old cuss named Harry Reid. Apparently he can be a nasty SOB and still float along at the highest of heights in the U.S. government.

About once a month or so, Harry Reid makes a statement that would be career-ending for your average Republican. He described Obama as, “a ‘light-skinned’ African American ‘with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.’”After Hurricane Sandy, he said, “The people of New Orleans and that area, they were hurt but nothing in comparison to what happened to the people” in New York and New Jersey. He’s complained about the smell of tourists coming into the Capitol building. He declared the Iraq War lost. Famously, in 2012, on multiple occasions he accused Mitt Romney of not paying taxes for ten years.

And now, he’s declaring that no one is getting hurt from Obamacare, anywhere, at all, in any way:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) declared Wednesday that all of the “horror stories” being told in relation to the federal health-care law are false.

“Despite all that good news, there’s plenty of horror stories being told,” Reid said on the Senate floor. “All of them are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.”

Get that? All of them are untrue! There are 317 million Americans, and any single one of them saying he got a raw deal from Obamacare must be lying!

    Then he adds:

Responding to ads being run by a Koch-backed group against Obamacare, Reid said the ads go too far and that Charles and David Koch are trying to “buy” America.

“It’s too bad that they’re trying to buy America, and it’s time that the American people spoke out against this terrible dishonesty of these two brothers who are about as un-American as anyone I can imagine.”

Remember McCarthyism? Remember how terrible it was when a senator was calling citizens anti-American? Hello? Is anyone paying attention?

Harry Reid is deeply, intensely dislikable, but that dis-likability never seems to have any consequence for him.

  14. Ragspierre says:

    Peter Wehner writes:

I’ll be interested to see if the elite media devote a fraction of the coverage or demonstrate near the outrage at Mr. Reid as they did at Ted Nugent — and whether they press other Democrats to defend or distance themselves from Reid’s calumny. After all, Ted Nugent is a rock musician, not a U.S. senator.
