What??? Holder and Feds ID California man’s role in anti-Islam film

What country did I just wake up in? Islamic extremists kill an Ambassador abroad and a U.S. citizen’s name and past problems with law enforcement are suddenly in the news?? This is outrageous. They’re looking to undermine the film by destroying him instead of focusing on the murderers. There’s no excuse for this coming from the Feds and Holder.

Federal authorities have identified a southern California man once convicted of financial crimes as the key figure behind the anti-Muslim film that ignited mob violence against U.S. embassies across the Mideast, a U.S. law enforcement official said Thursday.

Attorney General Eric Holder said that Justice Department officials had opened a criminal investigation into the deaths of the U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other diplomats killed during an attack on the American mission in Benghazi. It was not immediately clear whether authorities were focusing on the California filmmaker as part of that probe.

I’m starting to sound like a crank. But, WTH? He didn’t break any laws! How about they focus on Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s failure to protect our embassies and consulate.

    • TMLutas says:

Actually it appears that he might have broken his probation conditions. The spectacle of the AG reaching down to the level of probation violation enforcement is a bit worrying.

    • lydia says:

If it is not illegal for this fcukwit to produce a film that incites the Muslims to revolt and kill the US Ambassador then it is surely illegal to arrest individuals for having printed material in their possession that the powers that be perceives as inflammatory.

    • K2220 says:

When you have enough petty laws and regulations, everybody is guilty of something. We reached that point some years ago.

    • Brenda says:

they will get him killed before its over.I don’t condone that stupid untalented movie . But I dont see that its a reason to try and prosecute the man. It is free speech and Ive seen as bad on cartoons cant think of the name but the one with the freaky little boys

    • Robert Hennessy says:

You just proved that you’re not part of the “47%”. But what is VERY frightening IS the 46% who, for whatever reasons, somehow can’t see what is going on.

    • lilthyme says:

      Agree!

    • Southerner says:

Remember Obama said in his book, “I will stand with the muslims.” He’s made his stand, we just need to pay attention.

  2. CitizenEgg says:

A few things here Dan. First off, under this Mediaocracy, there is no need for an excuse from Holder and co. If it’s not a Mitt Romney gaffe, it’s not news.

And they’ve already determined that this film ‘ignited mob violence against U.S. embassies across the Mideast, a U.S. law enforcement official said Thursday.’? What official just bypassed due process there? I think the word allegedly should be a fair add there given some of the chatter about the protest being a cover for the terrorist ops.

Hey neighbors of whoever this guy is…watch out. You’re going to get a giant bulls-eye drop down somewhere near you and there’s no shortage of crazies out there.

How long until the actors appearing in that mess have to go into the witness protection program?

I have to say that the article I see about this movie are very opinionated rather than factual, and that’s only going to feed the flames. This could be a Sister Solja moment for the media in dealing with Islam, but we’re not even close to the ethical level it would take for that to happen. Somebody needs to do something.

You’re a big religion now Islam, and it’s time someone sat you down and had ‘the talk’ with you. You can’t solve all your problems with violence and expect to get along with people as equals.

    • Phil Snyder says:

“You’re a big religion now Islam, and it’s time someone sat you down and had ‘the talk’ with you. You can’t solve all your problems with violence and expect to get along with people as equals.”

This statement assumes that Islam wants to get along with people as equals. Their doctrine does not bear this out. They will get along until they can force others to do their will. Then it will be Muslims and Dhimmis.

    • Commenteri Florida says:

They don’t want to live with others as equals. Quran and Hadith tell them they are superior to infidels in every way and Muslims deserve to dominate and rule over us. It is inherent to the religion, not just to some extreme or deviant form of it.

  3. brownguy says:

Notice the slight of hand in the Yahoo “news” article: they label the movie “anti-muslim” instead of anti-Islam. There’s a big difference.

  4. Squid says:

The film ignited mob violence? Really? Are you sure it wasn’t a handful of anti-American agitators who ignited the mob violence, and the film was just a transparent excuse?

C’mon, Holder, at least try pretending you have a little pride.

  7. Teacher in Tejas says:

Hey, if Holder’s as good at this as he was tracking hundreds of guns he let get into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, this clown should be pretty safe.

    So, is YouTube next?

  9. JH in Texas says:

So the Feds are trying to get this guy killed? I’m sick. Literally, I’m shaking about this one. They publish his name and approximate address and investigate him and tell AP and Yahoo. I know this is old and cliched, but WTF????

  10. ToursLepantoVienna says:

So if islamists controlled the administration, but wanted to avoid arousing too much suspicion, how would they behave differently than what we’ve seen from Obama’s crowd over the last 3 days?

  11. the ghost of Wesley Willis says:

There’s a scene in the last episode of Deadwood with Sweringen and Tolliver are ruminating the pros and cons of assassinating George Hearst. They eventually come to the conclusion that if Hearst were killed he would just be replace by a thousand corporate board members.

It made me wonder if that bit was inserted at the insistence of HBO board of directors?

  12. Diggs says:

Give me a call Holder, you dirtbag., and I will be happy for you to publish my name and address, as long as you and Obama are willing to resign because you no longer want protect the First Amendment in the US Constitution that protects my right of free speech.

  13. 49erDweet says:

I knew this was Kalifornia, I just didn’t realize it was also the SSA .

  14. [...] If Obama is re-elected the DOJ will pursue anyone who offends Islam in media of any type as if they have broken a law. Yeah, go ahead and pout [...]

  15. the ghost of Wesley Willis says:

We have an affirmative action type Representative in Washington named Doris Matsui. She as good as inherited the seat from her husband who died in office (of a disease which he knew was going to kill him prior to the election, but kept secret).

So a couple of election cycles later we are still stuck with Doris, a rubber stamp Democrat who votes a straight line with Nancy Pelosi. A lady who has never made a public appearance. Never given a speech. Never debated an opponent.
In fact I had no idea she could speak English, she is so cloistered.

Anyhow one day some ahole shot Rep. Gabriel Giffords in Arizona.

The next day Rep. Doris Matsui held the first, and only press conference of her public career.
Turned out she can speak English when given the proper motivation.

  16. Dau Tieng 59 says:

So they found out Timothy Giethner was in on he film? lol

  17. BioBob says:

The film clip I saw was so bad that it reminded me of a Epic Fail version of all of the dubbed clips of Hitler’s Last Days.

As bad as it was,if you believe the youtube clip was an REAL pretext for mob violence, I have a bridge to sell you.

The important thing is What Film ? And who said so ? This is like the Reichstag Fire, The Sinking of the Maine, and all the other absurd excuses for violence. Arabs never need a real excuse to go ballistic, maim, kill, go beserk. It is just their normal behavior. Like little bratty children, they just need to be spanked.

  18. James Kent says:

His name was discovered by the AP after looking into claims that he was Israeli and finding them to be false. The person confirming is an anonymous source within the Feds- it is not an official release. The criminal investigation is not over the film’s production- this was an American killed on American soil (A US Embassy)…investigating homicide is standard in the US, even if the killer turns himself in.

Please don’t jump to inflammatory conclusions and politicize a situation involving loss of life with your uninformed conclusions.

  19. Brush says:

The left wing are facists, noone in Obama regime’s cares about free speech or protecting US lives. Free speech is an embarassment to Obama, and to let people who aren’t blinded by The One know where the ‘Justice’ Department stands they revealed the identity of someone to people who have no problems killing him, and do not care if they themselves die in the process.

Democrats = Dictatorship, there is nothing they won’t stoop to and nothing they won’t justify.
