Obama’s incredibly weak response to newly released audio
From a report by Jake Tapper at ABC. Given how much time they had to prepare, you’d think Team Obama could craft something akin to a response to the newly reported video.
Evidently all they can do is be non-responsive and go on the attack. It would seem they realize there is no way Obama can explain away his divisive rhetoric that went unreported in 2008.
This also confirms that, as has been said, the media never truly vetted Obama in 2008. Based on broader reactions across the media, for the most part, they don’t intend on doing it now, either. And anyone who does dare to try is simply going to be stone-walled, while being given another attack line from the not-so-great uniter in the WH seeking a second term.
In response, the Obama campaign said the release of the clips are a “transparent attempt” by “Mitt Romney’s allies” to change the subject from the GOP nominee’s secretly recorded comments that 47 percent of voters are dependent and believe “they are victims.”
“The only thing shocking about this is that they apparently think it’s wrong to suggest that we should help returning veterans, children leaving foster care and other members of Mitt Romney’s 47 percent get training that will allow them to find the best available jobs. If the Romney campaign believes that Americans will accept these desperate attacks tomorrow night in place of specific plans for the middle class, it’s they who are in for a surprise,” campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said in a written statement.

As a teacher, the last thing I want to hear from President Obama is blame for people that had nothing to do with this video. There’s only one person speaking the words in that video and that’s the President. Calling Mr. Romney a tattle-tale doesn’t distract grown ups from wanting an explanation about the hatred we’ve had concealed.
As a woman and independent, I want to understand why President Obama is so angry at other minorities, women and most of all whites. Was he lying and tricking the black folks of his church audience and lying before God in his house, or does he actually hate the rest of us? I found the paternalism particularly alarming. It’s no surprise that he thinks equality for women is giving us free condoms and abortions after the powerful man has his way with us.

I am always skeptical footage like this is ever a game changer. It doesn’t tell us anything we don’t know already. So obama is a opportunistic, pandering, race hustler. Everyone has pretty much figured that out by now and are either fine with it or don’t need to be told. I am curious as to what took so long for this to surface? This might have done some good back in 2008, but now its too old to make a difference.

I think Allen West’s comments about the video were right on — i.e., the tape reveals Obama as he is but it is not going to influence many people. Romney needs to focus on the fact that the American middle class is being buried — millions unemployed, lower standard of living; higher gas & utility prices; substantial increases in poverty, food stamps, disability payments, etc. (except West had actual and mind-numbing numbers that he carries in his pocket).
We simply cannot afford 4 more years of Obama’s policies.
